The ASICS Watefront Half Marathon will feature a new “Save Your Time” section on the stunning 2026 finisher medal. This inovative graphic will allow runners to immediately preserve their finish time for posterity, right next to that all-important finisher medal.

Participants record their time by using black “sharpie” pens to block out the unused segments of a digital clock, printed onto the ribbon of their finisher medal. With the unused segments blocked out, the remaining white segements display your glorious finish time for all to see! To enable the fun to begin right there at the finish line, tables with sharpie pens will be available. In combination with the advanced race timing, participants can simply scan the QR code on their race number right after finishing to get their official finish time, which can be quickly transferred to their medal.

“In the past, runners have had to pay a fee and then wait 3 or 4 weeks or more to have an engraved plate sent to them in the mail to stick on the back of their medal,” said Race Director, Rob Docherty. “Now, that all-important finish time can be recorded for posterity right there at the venue within minutes of finishing. We think runners will love it!”

Medals will be awarded, PB’s record and dreams fulfilled at the 2026 ASICS Waterfront Half Marathon on April 12.
